Welcome to my website! I'm a Software Engineer 2 at Microsoft in WA. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Carleton College in Computer Science with a Mathematics minor. While at school, I completed three internships at Microsoft, a software engineering internship at NBCUniversal, and a data engineering internship at HBO Max. I'm a Palantir Future Fellow, Fundação Estudar Tech Fellow, and Activision Blizzard King scholar.

Tool to help users understand the additions to an article, and the relationship between page views and edits. Our extension highlights additions to the Wiki pages between a specified date and the present and renders a graph of page views and edits during different time periods. Carleton Developers Exchange Website

Developed a website for Carleton Computer Science club to advertise events and recruit people to our mailing list. Check it here: DevX.

MASPES Art Museum Online Collection

Gathered the requirements and de-signed the database. Developed the website back-end and the search engine. Created the admin system to manage the museum's collection.

Work Experience

I'm currently a Software Engineer 2 at Microsoft with 1.5 YOE. While at college, I completed 5 internships - Three at Microsoft (1x Explore Intern, 2x SWE Intern), one as a Data Engineer Intern at HBO Max and one as a Software Engineer Intern at NBCUniversal

Worked on priority processing of emails (800M emails/month processed using my algo), big data pipelines migrations (Spark and Scala are awesome), new APIs and a fast way to deploy feature flags globally.
Built observability, health and data monitoring using Datadog, I was also assigned lots of unit tests. I loved testing my team's tools with Harry Potter titles.
Got to experience big data for the first time on the Subscriptions Data Engineering team! Worked with Airflow, Superset, Python and data viz.

Education

I'm a Carleton College 2023 grad. I graduated Magna Cum Laude (Top 15% of my class) with a BA with Distinction in Computer Science and a Mathematics minor. I'm also a Informatics for Internet technician from Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense, which is the US equivalent of an Associate's degree.

I learned to code at IFSul when I was 14 years old, had a lot of fun participating in STEM olympiads.

Awards

While in college, I applied to a lot of programs and got to travel around and learn a lot! Those are my main awards, however other cool programs I got the change to participate are Uber Career Prep Fellowship, Jane Street FOCUS, D.E. Shaw Latitude Fellowship, Grace Hopper Scholarship, Bessemer Fellowship Finalist (not a fellow as I went with Microsoft instead), Brazil at Silicon Valley.

It was great being one of 15 ABK scholars from the United States and Europe.
One of ten scholars in the US, was my first big national honor.
